Two-thirds of Romanians believe in Covid-19 conspiracies

Almost two thirds of Romanians (65.7%) believe that Covid-19 pandemic was caused by global elites that want to impose control over the world’s population, an INSCOP survey shows.

Less than a third (28.4%) believe that the Covid-19 pandemic occurred naturally, as other pandemics in human history did.

5.9% of respondents do not know or do not answer this question.

Almost a third of Romanians believe in the existence of a vaccine chip

28.5% of respondents believe that there is a global plan for implanting a chip in the human body by vaccination.

However, an overwhelming 66% reject this theory, and 5.5% do not know or do not answer.

On the other hand, the 66% who do not believe in this theory are not found among people vaccinated against Covid-19.

At the moment, Romania has an extremely low vaccination rate, almost 9 million Romanians (about 41% of the population) being vaccinated with the complete scheme.

Only half of Romanians believe they have been exposed to fake news

54.7% of respondents say that in recent months they have been exposed to fake news or misinformation to a very large extent.

41.8% of the respondents say that they were exposed to a small, very small extent or not at all.

Another 3.6% do not know or do not answer this question.
