Turkish giant Trendyol to open an HQ in Bucharest and a local warehouse

Since its launch on the local market, Trendyol has sold over 3 million items

E-commerce platform Trendyol is to open a headquarters in Bucharest and a local warehouse, for which it will employ around 250 people when it becomes operational in 2025.

Trendyol launched its Romanian-language app in January 2024. It has seen the fastest growth in Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets, reaching 500,000 customers in Romania to date.

The online platform offers a weekly selection of more than 2.5 million products from Turkish brands including Koton, DeFacto, Altınyıldız, LC Waikiki, Mavi.

Global brands such as Adidas, New Balance, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Hilfiger, Converse and Calvin Klein are also available, as well as Trendyol’s best-selling collection, which is sold on partner platforms in over 100 countries.

Trendyol was founded in Istanbul in 2010. Its Marketplace connects over 250,000 merchants and brands (by the end of the year including Romanian) with more than 35 million customers through dedicated apps in local languages.

The platform is available in Turkey, Germany, Azerbaijan, all Gulf States and, from 2024, in Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Greece.
