Wolt completes the acquisition of Romanian local commerce platform Tazz

Wolt has completed the acquisition of Tazz, a local commerce platform in Romania, from online regional giant eMAG. The acquisition marks Wolt’s entry into the Romanian market.

Tazz’s current offerings, including restaurant, grocery, and retail selections, will continue as usual. As previously communicated, Wolt and eMAG have struck a long-term partnership that allows Tazz customers to continue to enjoy the premium benefits of Genius program.

The local delivery platform Tazz operates in over 35 cities offering a selection of restaurants, supermarket partners, retailers, and local merchants. Alin Serban will continue to lead the operations in Romania for Wolt.

Wolt was founded in 2014 in Helsinki, Finland, and in 2022 joined forces with american company DoorDash. Together, the two operate in over 30 countries, 28 being under the Wolt brand.
