Two big office projects in Bucharest to use green, renewable, energy

Two of the largest office developers in Bucharest, Genesis Property and River Development, have announced cumulative investments of over 2 million euros in photovoltaic projects.

Genesis Property installed more than 1,000 photovoltaic panels on an area of more than 4,000 sqm, in prosumer mode, on the office buildings’ roofs in YUNITY Park, north of Bucharest, following an investment of 1 million euro.

The 1,080 photovoltaic panels installed on YUNITY Park buildings will produce between 650 – 680 MWh/year depending on weather conditions.

Also, River Development, the developer of the Sema Parc and The Light projects, announced the implementation of a photovoltaic power plant in Sema Parc, with a total investment of more than EUR 1 million.

Sema Park project is due for completion in May 2023 and will initially provide part of the electricity supply to the Paris, Berlin and Bruxelles buildings in Sema Parc.

The project consists of an integrated system of 3 photovoltaic sub-power plants that are going to inject into the system the energy generated by approx. 3,000 solar panels with a total installed capacity of 1.2 MW.
