Eurowind Energy, a developer and operator of renewable energy projects, has begun the development of three new wind parks: Frumușița, Vector, and Pecineaga Northeast. Together, the projects will add 138 MW of clean energy capacity to the grid.
The company has signed a turbine supply agreement with Vestas for the delivery of 23 V162-6.2 MW turbines from its EnVentus platform. This will be delivered in the second half of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for 2027.
Frumușița Wind Park (Galați County) will have an installed capacity of 66 MW and 11 turbines. Vector Wind Park (Galați County) to have an installed capacity of 24 MW, 4 turbines, and Pecineaga Northeast Wind Park (Constanța County) to have 48 MW installed capacity, and 8 turbines.
Danish company Eurowind Energy has been present in Romania since 2011. Its portfolio includes both operating four solar parks (Hălchiu, Măgurele, Pufești, and Teiuș) and a growing pipeline of wind and hybrid projects across the country, totaling approximately 7.5 GW in various stages of development. By the end of 2025, the company will operate a local portfolio of 124 MW.
