Tesla tops the 20 most popular stocks in Romania on the eToro platform at the end of 2022 followed by EV Chinese competitor Nio and Romanian-born tech unicorn UiPath.
Over the last 12 months, there was only one new company making the top 20 list – Netflix, which even surpassed its entertainment rival Disney in the preferences of Romanian investors.
Meanwhile, Richard Branson’s aerospace company Virgin Galactic, and healthtech stock Asenus, fell three places during the last year, now closing the list.
Tech companies, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet complete the top ten stocks owned by Romanians, along with video card manufacturer Nvidia and Palantir Technologies.
Alibaba dropped out of the Top 10 and ranks 11th at the end of 2022, after being ranked 7th the previous year, and GameStop fell from 5th at the end of 2021 to 12th at the end of last year.
