SkyTower to release 1,000 biodegradable red balloons on February 24

On February 24th, for Dragobete, SkyTower, Romania’s tallest building and an iconic landmark of Bucharest, celebrates SkyLove Day, a unique tribute to love featuring the spectacular release of 1,000 biodegradable red balloons from the esplanade in front of the tower.

The release of the biodegradable balloons into the sky serves as a symbolic declaration of love to the universe. Just like in the 2024 edition, this moment will take place at 1 PM. The event will feature a love-themed lobby design, including a dedicated photo corner and special window decorations throughout the entire day.

SkyLove Day 2025 also includes a photo competition. The most liked photo taken after the balloon release and posted on social media using the hashtags #SkyLoveDay and #SkyTowerBucharest will win a EUR 100 dinner voucher for two at NOR – Sky Casual Restaurant, located on the 36th floor of SkyTower.

SkyTower Bucharest, owned by Raiffeisen Property Holding International (RPHI), rises 137 meters above ground, with 37 floors and a 60-meter underground structure dedicated to storage and parking.
