Rus Savitar factory in Timiș county sold to chinese giant UE Furniture

Rus Savitar, one of the largest furniture and chipboard manufacturers in Romania, has sold its factory in Dudeștii Noi, Timiș County, to UE Furniture, a chinese manufacturer of chairs, armchairs, and sofas. The transferred property consists of 120,000 sqm of land and 60,000 sqm of buildings.

Rus Savitar is a family-owned business founded in 1994, which has become a benchmark in the furniture industry, through over more than 30 years of activity under its retail shops Casa Rusu. CBRE Romania represented Rus Savitar in the sale process.

UE Furniture, the first Chinese company in its sector listed on the stock exchange, has over 20 years of history in furniture production. The acquisition in Dudeștii Noi represents the company’s second investment in Romania, following the opening of a factory in Orăștie, Hunedoara County, several years ago.
