Romanian passengers using Free Now app tip on less than 30% of rides

According to Free Now, in Romania, between 25 and 27% of rides paid for in the app are additionally rewarded with a tip.

In the UK, for example, a Free Now partner driver is rewarded with a tip in 24-28% of rides.

In Italy, only 16-18% of rides are tipped on top of the value of the ride, and in Spain and France, between 9 and 16%.

In-app ride payment offers passengers the opportunity to reward their drivers with a tip as a token of appreciation for their service.

Before or during any journey, users can select whether to tip their driver, with 0%, 10%, 15%, 20% as default options.

Among the reasons why passengers choose to tip drivers are the driver’s driving style, the driver’s friendliness, the ambiance in the car, or the cleanliness of the vehicle.

According to data from the platform, drivers with the best ratings usually get higher tips.
