Romanian GSM accessories retailer Contakt eyes regional expansion

The company ended 2024 with revenue just under RON 130 million, up 10% from the prior year, and a net profit above RON 15 million

Romanian mobile accessories retailer Contakt projects revenues of RON 137.9 million in 2025, up from RON 130 million last year, and plans to open 25 additional locations nationwide. The company is also preparing to expand into Central European markets, including Poland, Czechia, Serbia, and Hungary.

With a solid market share, the company is doubling down on physical retail, which remains its main sales channel. It operated 232 stores at year-end, including some acquired last year. In-house services such as phone repairs, device detailing, and subscription plans for accessories have become a new source of recurring revenue and customer retention.

Although the number of transactions held steady in 2024, the average value per purchase rose by more than 11%, indicating a shift toward higher-end products. Thus, the customer base is stable, but spending is rising, a sign of a market transitioning toward maturity and focus on added value.

Contakt sales some of Europe’s best-known accessory brands, including PanzerGlass, Cellularline, Swissten, Tactical, and AmazingThing, and is present in major retail chains such as Kaufland, Carrefour, eMAG, Flanco, Profi, and Orange.
