Primark to open its first store in Craiova’s ElectroPutere Parc Mall in 2026

Primark will open its first store in Craiova in 2026, covering an area of about 4,500 square metres in the Leroy Merlin former store, acquired by Catinvest to expand ElectroPutere Mall.

Leroy Merlin, the second-largest player in the Romanian DIY market with 21 stores nationwide, has opened its new space in ElectroPutere Parc, increasing the area by nearly 23% compared to its previous location.

Catinvest acquired from Leroy Merlin their 11,000 square metres former store. With this new extension the leasable area of ElectroPutere Mall will increase by 9,000 square metres, bringing the shopping centre to over 62,000 square metres, including Auchan hypermarket.
