NEPI Rockcastle opened Promenada Craiova after an investment of over EUR 136 million

NEPI Rockcastle inaugurated Promenada shopping centre in Craiova, following a greenfield investment of 136 million euro. This represents the largest investment in the Romanian commercial retail sector in the last five years.

Promenada commercial area has a total leasable area of around 80,000 sqm. It integrates the shopping centre which occupies circa 53,300 sqm and a retail park of about 10,400 sqm, owned by NEPI Rockcastle.

The shopping area is hosting more than 130 stores, amongst which more than 20 new brands, for the first time in the city. Furthermore, the opening of Promenada marks the official entry of Lefties, part of the Inditex group, on the Romanian and CEE market.

Among the other stores that visitors of Promenada will be able to find exclusively here are Calvin Klein, Enzo Bertini, Modivo, Mohito, Nike, Obsentum, Peek& Cloppenburg, Tommy Hilfiger or Under Armour.

Promenada Craiova has the largest photovoltaic project developed within a shopping centre in Romania, with an investment value of more than 7 million euros.

According to NEPI Rockcastle representatives, Promenada directly and indirectly generates more than 1,500 new jobs. The shopping centre also has the largest outdoor panoramic terrace in Craiova.
