Hesburger opens its sixth restaurant in Romania, in Mega Mall Bucharest

Hesburger, the largest fast-food chain in Finland, has opened its sixth restaurant in Romania, in Mega Mall, following an investment of EUR 500.000, reaching an EUR 1,5 mil investment in Bucharest. The new location creates 20 new jobs.

In May, Hesburger entered the Romanian market with its first restaurant in Râmnicu Vâlcea. By August, the chain had opened restaurants in Romania’s largest airport, ”Henri Coandă” Otopeni, in Brăila, and two new restaurants in Bucharest (AFI Cotroceni and Băneasa Shopping City).

Hesburger plans to continue its expansion in Romania and to open a total of 10 restaurants, following an investment of EUR 8 million in the first year of activity.

Over the years, Hesburger has expanded its restaurant chain internationally and now has 273 locations in Finland, 62 in Lithuania, 54 in Estonia, 52 in Latvia, 32 in Bulgaria, 7 in Ukraine, 2 in Germany and one in Poland. It employs more than 8.700 people.
