Examin secures EUR 200,000 pre-seed funding for AI-powered video analytics

Examin, a Romanian startup specializing in automation and video analysis powered by AI, has secured EUR 200,000 in pre-seed funding from a private investor. The funds will be directed toward developing a market-ready product.

It’s solution enables companies to analyze existing video recordings without the need for additional hardware investments. Artificial intelligence algorithms process images in real-time, generate reports, and trigger customized automation, such as halting production lines upon detecting a defect, notifying responsible teams, or automatically updating quality reports.

Founded in October 2024, Examin is targeting industries such as manufacturing and logistics, driven by high demand for efficient solutions, and plans to expand into retail and agriculture, two growing sectors for AI technologies.

For 2025, Examin’s management is targeting EUR 200,000 in revenue alongside the development and validation of its own MVP. The company plans to create its first AI Video Analytics camera as well as an AI Quality Inspection prototype to enhance quality control in manufacturing.
