Chery Automobile took a major step into the European market by shipping its first batch of vehicles to Romania, departing from Wuhu, China. The first shipment includes TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 8 SUVs.
Both models are available in internal combustion engine (ICE) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. These vehicles bring smart design, modern features, and eco-conscious technology. The plug-in hybrid variants come equipped with Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology.
The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with Chery Super Hybrid (CSH), which integrates a dedicated hybrid engine boasting a thermal efficiency of up to 46.5%, a stepless electric hybrid DHT system with a transmission efficiency of 98.5%, high-performance batteries and an ultra-safe battery management system.
Chery is entering the EU market with a long-term vision, and Romania is more than just a delivery destination it’s a strategic hub for retail networks, service systems or customer support ecosystems. The vehicles are expected to arrive in mid-July, with official sales launching after.
Next stop: Poland
Chery will also host a major launch event on June 30 in Warsaw, Poland, revealing its European lineup: TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 8, TIGGO 7 CSH and TIGGO 8 CSH (Hybrid Models). This event marks the official debut of Chery’s vehicles and CSH technology in the European market. The company plans to introduce 34 new models, offering a diverse and competitive range of vehicles for European consumers.
